Interview with Beirut Resident on Israel Radio

In an interview on Israel radio today a Beirut resident who went by the name of “Tony” (hopefully a pseudo name to protect the innocent), bemoaned the economic downturn and lack of tourism in Beirut, one year after Hizbullah crossed the Israeli border in July 2006 killing and capturing Israeli reservists that triggered the summer of 2006 war between Israel and the rogue Shiite Islamic fundamentalist, Iranian backed, Hizbullah(*).

The same resident went on to say that he thought that the situation could have been a lot better this summer in Beirut had Israel been able to dismantle Hizbullah.

An example of one small tid-bit of a larger unheard mosaic that one is unlikely to come across today on CNN, Al Jazeera or the New York Times

(*) Hizbullah's chief stated objective is to establish Islamic rule over Lebanon according to the religious teachings of the late Iranian leader, Ayatollah Khomeini.
