NAIROBI, Kenya — An aid group on Wednesday accused U.N. peacekeepers of failing to protect more than 900 people who have been killed by Ugandan rebels in northeastern Congo since Christmas, but the U.N. denied the allegations.

Medecins Sans Frontieres field coordinator Hakim Chkam said the attacks by the Lord's Resistance Army were so brutal that workers had only found 17 survivors. They included a 4-year-old girl whose attackers had attempted to twist off her head.

Conclusion:

I am not Jewish. Ideologically I am left and by profession a journalist. Why am I not as anti Israeli as my colleagues? Because as a non-Jew I have the historical responsibility to fight against Jewish hatred and currently against the hatred for their historic homeland, Israel. To fight against anti-Semitism is not the duty of the Jews, it is the duty of the non-Jews.

As a journalist it is my duty to search for the truth beyond prejudice, lies and manipulations. The truth about Israel is not told. As a person from the left who loves progress, I am obligated to defend liberty, culture, civic education for children, coexistence and the laws that the Tablets of the Covenant made into universal principles. Principles that Islamic fundamentalism systematically destroys. That is to say that as a non-Jew, journalist and lefty I have a triple moral duty with Israel, because if Israel is destroyed, liberty, modernity and culture will be destroyed too.

The struggle of Israel, even if the world doesn’t want to accept it, is the struggle of the world.

Fatah dedicates square to woman who led massacre that killed 37 Israeli civilians

An event that was largely ignored by Israeli and global mainstream media that occurred the same week when Biden visited Israel and the only news that got attention was a building complex in east Jerusalem.

Despite the Palestinian Authority’s announcement that it had postponed the inauguration of a square in el-Bireh named after Dalal Mughrabi, the Fatah woman who led the 1978 Coastal Road massacre in which 37 Israeli civilians and an American photographer were killed, and 71 were wounded, Fatah officials on Thursday evening went ahead with the ceremony.

The Disgrace and Hypocrisy of Obama's treatment of the Israeli PM

1 British and 1 Australian Newspaper make a poignant case on this matter.

Barack Obama’s humiliation of Israel is a disgrace by Nile Gardiner UK Telegraph writes:
"I very much doubt that even third world tyrants would be received in such a rude fashion by the president...The ritual humiliation of the Israelis is an absolute disgrace, and yet another example of how the Obama administration views its allies with indifference, contempt, and at times outright hostility. It is extraordinary how far the Obama team has gone out of its way to grovel to state sponsors of terrorism, such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Muammar Gaddafi, while kicking America’s friends in the teeth...
Israel is literally fighting for its survival on a daily basis against an array of vicious terrorist groups, from Hamas to Hizbollah, while facing a looming threat from a genocidal, nuclear-armed Iran. President Obama’s top priority in the Middle East should be preventing Iran from building a nuclear weapons programme. Instead he seems obsessed with kowtowing to America’s enemies by bashing Israel at almost every opportunity"

Obama's anti-Israeli hysteria dangerous and destructive by Greg Sheridan, Foreign editor From The Australian writes:
"When Obama met the king of Saudi Arabia, a nation in which no one votes, women are subject to severe and demeaning restrictions and it is against the law to have a Christian church, Obama bowed in deep respect. When Obama ran into Venezuela's murderous despot, Hugo Chavez, at a summit, there was a friendly greeting observed by all...You might even conclude that Obama is trying to interfere in internal Israeli politics and bring down a government. This is something post-colonial, post-multicultural Obama would never do with Iran, but with Israel, the US's longstanding ally, it's fine."
